  Lenthals is a beautiful place, but price increase has made it ridiculous for families. One nights camping is 12.50 per person, including children. My family of six payed $75 for one night stay. I guess this would be reasonable if the facilites matched the pricing, however they do not. Showers are cold with little water pressure and no lights. They are a fair walk from camping ground. Toilets also have no lights and are a bit of a walk. Powered sites are not available and fires are prohibited. Swimming is not allowed, we did it anyway. Certainly not worth the money you pay when you can go to other grounds (for the same cost) that offer powered sites, as well as toilets with lights, showers with lights, swimming pool access (as well as dam swimming being permitted), they permit fires ooh and also have a camp kitchen which is amazing! You do math

  Beautiful grassy sites, absolute lake front. Quiet and picturesque with plenty of bird life. Cold showers. The road in is a bit bumpy in spots so drive safely. Ok for standard vehicle. Call first to check not booked out.

  One of the more beautiful places I've had the pleasure to visit. The amenities were clean and very good for the location. Plenty of fun is also to be had at the scenic lake. Personally, I love kayaking and bird-watching there. Phone reception can be difficult there, but you can generally find a bar or two worth somewhere.

  We had a great day apart from the weather. Can't wait to take my kayak out there.
